Beaumont Restaurant Week- SouthEast Texas Hidden Food Gems
A few weeks ago, I took a road trip to Southeast Texas, excited to experience some of the most unique and delicious food the region has to offer. Beaumont’s vibrant food scene promised a unique 48-hour culinary adventure, filled with hidden gems and local favorites that truly capture the town's flavor. From November 4th to 11th, Beaumont is rolling out the red carpet for food lovers, with some of its best local restaurants offering exclusive deals, inventive dishes, and a showcase of flavors that make this Texas town a true culinary gem. Whether you’re craving Italian-Mexican fusion, authentic Korean BBQ, or classic diner-style burgers with a gourmet twist, there’s something for everyone during Beaumont Restaurant Week. Let the delicious journey begin!
Mamma Tia’s Italian Bistro: Italian-Mexican Fusion with a Cajun Flair
My first stop was Mamma Tia’s Italian Bistro—a vibrant family-owned eatery that blends Italian and Mexican flavors with a subtle Cajun twist. Stepping inside felt like entering a beloved neighborhood spot with the warmth of a home-cooked meal. Walls are adorned with family photos and vintage Italian posters, creating an atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and personal. Mamma Tia’s stands out for its dedication to fresh, in-house ingredients—they grind their own meat, grate their cheese, and craft every sauce on the menu from scratch. This attention to detail comes through in every bite.
The Italian Nachos are an irresistible starter, with crispy chips layered in savory Alfredo sauce, Italian sausage, banana peppers, black olives, and melted mozzarella—making it the ultimate appetizer. But the real showstopper? The New Orleans-style Muffuletta, served on toasted sesame French bread and topped with layers of salami, ham, olive dressing, provolone, and mozzarella. It’s a stacked sandwich that’s perfect for sandwich lovers craving a bold, flavorful kick.
The highlight of my meal had to be the Del Mar pizza. This seafood lover’s dream is loaded with a rich shrimp sauce base, perfectly melted mozzarella, and toppings like fresh scallops, succulent shrimp, and tender crab meat. Every slice was an explosion of coastal flavors with a touch of spice—a true culinary masterpiece. If you’re in Beaumont, this dish alone is worth a visit!

KO Korean Grill: Authentic Korean BBQ with All-You-Can-Eat Delights
Next up was KO Korean Grill, Beaumont’s only authentic Korean BBQ spot. Stepping inside this trendy, modern restaurant feels like you've been transported straight to the lively streets of Korea, with neon lights glowing and vibrant murals setting the scene. If you’re in the mood for sizzling meats and bold flavors, KO Korean Grill delivers with a Restaurant Week special that’s hard to beat: an all-you-can-eat menu for just $18.99! This includes a tasty appetizer, a side salad, white rice, and nine mouthwatering cuts of meat like brisket, marinated pork chops, and tender chicken.
For me, the experience began with the double-fried Korean wings—extra crispy, with a spicy glaze that balanced heat and sweetness perfectly. The Ko-Gi Fries were another must-try, loaded with spiced meat and topped with fresh green onions. Each dish served at KO Korean Grill radiates authenticity, and the waiter/waitress will grill your food for you, allowing you to sit back, relax, and savor the meal.

Crazy Cajun: Louisiana-Style Flavors with a Kick
For a true taste of the South, Crazy Cajun is a must-visit, especially if you’re a fan of bold, spicy Cajun dishes. It was my first time trying their famous Cajun BBQ crabs, and the experience didn’t disappoint! Each crab is packed with Cajun spices, giving them a deep, smoky flavor that pairs beautifully with Crazy Cajun’s homemade hot sauce. Their menu celebrates Louisiana-inspired cuisine, from fluffy beignets and crispy boudin balls to loaded po'boys.
The Shrimp Po'Boy was a savory delight—juicy shrimp layered on soft, buttery French bread. Every bite was packed with Cajun spices and fresh ingredients that made my taste buds dance. And don’t forget to try the Cajun fried green tomatoes topped with their homemade Remoulade Sauce and $5 daily drink specials for an extra burst of fun!

Daddio's Burger: Retro Vibes and Gourmet Burgers
To wrap up my Beaumont Restaurant Week experience, I made my way to Daddio’s Burger—a beloved retro diner serving gourmet burgers with nostalgic vibes and serious flavor. Known for using quality Nolan Ryan beef, which is hormone-free and never frozen, Daddio’s elevates the classic burger experience with unique flavors and textures.
I started with their Bacon Cheeseburger, a classic choice with gooey cheddar, crispy applewood bacon, and a soft, buttery bun that tied everything together perfectly. Their chili cheese frito pie were equally irresistible, with a generous helping of chili and a perfect cheese-to-chip ratio. But the showstopper? The Goat Cheese Burger. This unique creation combines creamy goat cheese, smoky applewood bacon, a tangy chipotle sauce, all on a bold jalapeño bun that adds a delightful kick to each bite.
