Cheater’s Creamy is a local Houston ice cream shop/food truck. Their slogan is “war on diet.”

They are located in a food truck lot off of Washington. The menu has a wide variety of menu items, including ice cream cones, sundaes, milkshakes and a dough boy. I was thoroughly impressed by the variety and quality of flavors offered. There is a total of 14 homemade ice cream flavors.

The ice cream itself was creamy and delicious, with bold and distinct flavors. My ultimate favorite was their famous Dough Boy (only available on the weekends). This is 1 scoop of your favorite flavor of ice cream pressed between a doughnut with added toppings.

I tried the Dough Boy with Birthday Batter Ice Cream. Birthday Batter Ice Cream had a vanilla base with bits of sprinkles and tasted just like birthday cake. This combined with the doughnut had the most bold delightful taste. Definitely worth the calories!

I also got the Oreo Coffee Bean Milkshake. This milkshake is made with coffee beans, typically ground and brewed into a powder into the ice cream, added chocolate syrup, crushed Oreos and whipped cream. The result is a creamy, cold treat with a strong coffee flavor, a hint of sweetness and the crunch of Oreos.
